We would like to welcome our new associate, Dr. Nicole Gdowski! She is from West Michigan and graduated from Spring Lake High School in 2003. She then went on to the University of Michigan, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2007. While there she played the piccolo in the Michigan Marching Band and the Men's Basketball Pep Band. She went to two Rose Bowls, the Alamo Bowl, and the NIT Tournament! She also met her husband, Jeff, during her time in the MMB. Jeff currently teaches middle school math at Byron Center West Middle School.

After graduating from the University of Michigan, Dr. Gdowski then went to the Michigan College of Optometry and graduated in 2011. She was the president of the Michigan Optometric Student Association and organized several volunteer and social events. She is excited about joining Grand Rapids Eye Care, and cannot wait to help grow the practice's pediatric population.
